Jimmy's Story

Update (July '09): mother died Feb '09. April '09 moved my father to Mexico near Guadalajara! Best climate, food, cheap tequila. House overlooks Lake Chapala. Should have done it years ago. Went to Lbk July 4th for son's wedding. May never go back. Update(2006): changed jobs a couple of years ago. Have been remodeling lake house since. Lots of Mexican tile and BRIGHT colors. n (12/18/83) and Lauren (4/24/87). I work for the State of Texas to help companies export. About 40% of the time, I travel abroad primarily to the Latin countries but also Turkey, Africa, Spain, etc. Almost kidnapped in Mexico City (day after the earthquake), in a riot in Argentina (30 in hospital), in coup d'etat in Ivory Coast, in Turkey during earthquake, etc. Just missed both quakes in Salvador. It's a fun job most of the time, but it has its moments. At least it got me back into practicing the martial arts.
