Jimmy's Story
Life: Ok i am bored today, so here goes my life story.
September 20, 1974 I join the United States Army and was station at Fort Ord, California for three years. I reenlisted in 1977 and went to Washington, DC for my next tour of duty. I was a Sgt in the Retirement Section of a Welcome Center based in Fort Myer, VA. In 1980 I had had enough of the Army and got out and came back home to Vallejo.
1980: I went to work for Kasier Steel as a grinder and ended up a Jr Foreman one year later. We build foundations for Alaska oil companies. I work for Kasier steel for five years when they decided to file bankruptcy, ending my career with them. I got married in 1985 and have two children. A boy and a girl, can't ask for any thing more than that. In 1988 I moved to Sacramento, Ca and went to work for the Corp of Engineers in the Specification Section. I loved this job, but the government froze our positions and i took a leave of absent and started up my own company in Landscaping in 1991. I also went to ...Expand for more
college in between this time frame and got my AA in Business.
I had my own business for 7 years and had to give up, couldn't get over that hump of becoming big. I got divorced in 1998 and moved to my parents trailer park in Manton, Ca. Live there for a year and could not take the place any longer so i headed back to good old Vallejo.
Went to work for Syar Industries, Inc. 1999 to 2006 at which time i had to quit work due to an illness. COPD; Chronic obstructive airway disease; which i still have today.
This illness has turn my life upside down, but i have learn to deal with it and am doing just find at the moment. I don't wish this disease on any one.
Oh ya i played fast pitch softball every year of my life up till i got sick. I miss it the most and dancing, but hey it is ok. I lost my brother Eddie in 2003 from a truck wreck. My parents and two brothers are still alive and doing just fine.
I now live in Vallejo in a beautiful Victorian on the waterfront and pretty much stay around the home.
