Jo Dee's Story
Well, after high school I started working full time at Continental Insurance. I worked in the Milwaukee office for about three years, was transferred to Chicago and worked there for five years, transferred to Columbus, Ohio, for two years, and finally ended up in Dallas, Texas, where I worked for about four years when I quit.
I married in December 1980 to someone I met on a blind date. We had a long distance romance and married about a year after we met. I am a third generation blind date marriage as my parents met on a blind date and my dad's parents met on a blind date.
I finally decided to quit my job and become a homemaker at the end of 1990. Our first child was born in March 1991, our second in August 1993, our third in December 1994, our fourth in October 2001. eally wanted the most. We have three girls and one boy.
I homeschooled my children. The oldest graduated in May 2008. I loved having my children with me all day and like being able to say that I taught them how to read and do math.
Where can you find us on vacation? Well, our typical, but not always, vacation spot was Walt Disney World, because there was something for everyone. Our favorite times to go were in January, November or December (but not during holiday times!) Since we homeschooled, we could take our vacations at off times. Saves money and keeps us out of the heat! Anyway, who wants to run around outside all summer in Texas? So we school then!
My husband and I both have our own businesses. He is a technical instructor and teaches Cisco products. I am a Virtual Assistant, Travel Advisor, and Bookkeeper. My most recognizable client is Ron Paul Curriculum.
