JoAnn Richards:  

I was a Member of the NHS & attended the Business School offered after school. That led to a job with the National Bank of Commerce. Later I married F.E. "Ace" Richards. a UT graduate. We lived in Houston, Nederland, Corpus Christi, &Kingsville. Ace earned a Masters at Lamar University while working there & began the PHd program at Uof A. Along the way we had three sons. I worked parttime & began a BA at Lamar. His academic pathway led us to Texas A&I in Kingsville to teach there & I continued taking courses. We all were active in Scouting and sailing while there. In the summers we would go to Arkansas & camp out while Ace went to class. It was great fun for 3 boys! When he was ABd he was offered a dept chair at Arkansas (later to become Lyon College) in Batesville, AR. So we moved again & it was here (having changed my major) that I graduated Summa Cum with a BA in Health Care Administration We lived there 7 happy years.
