Joan's Story
Life
After HS I went right to Madison College started out as a voice major which I changed to Speech Path the end of my soph year. Ended up going to Summer school where I met my husband, Charlie from NJ(a phys.ed/physics major!). We got married in 75 in the Summer while he was a graduate student of Physics at UVA. We moved to CT for 2 years where I worked in a Psychiatric Hospital as a Speech Path then we moved to Utica, NY where I worked as a travelling therapist in Madison County. e transferred to GER&D Center here in Niskayuna, NY (in Capital District in NY - Albany area). Just before we moved Danielle arrived along with 2 dogs and 4 cats later...so here we are... after 25 of marriage... Charlie's a manager at GE and I own my own business as a Speech therapist. (Now that we have our own teenager here, we are both looking towards the empty nest with anticipation and some relief! I won't be able to make the 30th reunion due to distance and it being the last week of school up here. (NY state gets out the end of June!) But wish you all a great time there.
