Life
Well, this is going waaaayyyyy back, huh? (lol) Where did these years goooooo?
My 1st year with the Cougars was 1969. I lived on Dominion Blvd. 4 kids. Richard, (recently deceased), myself, Robert and Marilyn in that order. Centennial wasn't quite up and running yet...so we went to school early in the morning until noon, apx..at Massey Collegiate.
I ended up quitting school in 1972 and headed for the business world and gypsy blood. The past 25 years of my life have been lived in BC, Alta, California, Michigan and now the present home; Florida. I am unmarried at this time although in a good relationship. No children, unfortunately. But, I am happy.
Career-wise; the first half of my life had a 'free social life' with paycks because I was in the restaurant industry.
My career for the latter part of my life has been in mortage banking and real estate. Tough market so right now I am in a telecommunications career with a good Fortune 500 company.
Life has been trying and good at the same time. Losses and rewards seem to go together. (smile)
Guess the best reward has been my strong Christian faith. I was a missionary in Malawi, Central Africa....and once one has spent time with the ...Expand for more
dying and desolate people, and see how joyful they can been in death, it kind of smacks me in the face and tells me to grow up.
And, it also got me kind of nostalgic remembering earlier times and wondering 'what ever happened to ___? and to ___ ?" My nickname is godsgirlnextdoor....that's the first part...and the second part is.......what is the opposite of "no" ? Let's see how much we learned in school.....Ah, some of us never grow up, huh? (huh is American, eh? lol)
Today is October 1st, 2007. I hope everyone is well and has peace in their lives. This life is so long and so short at the same time. It's so good and so sad at the same time.
But, we each have the same days to spend, and the same hope to draw from. I pray hope for your lives, joy, peace and happiness. And fun. Never forget to have FUN!
