Joan's Story
After school and living in Charlottesville for a short time I moved to Richmond,(VA) where I still live with my husband in Short Pump/Henrico County (west end of Richmond). I currently work in the Board Administration Office at Virginia Dept of Alcoholic Beverage Control. I have a son, Roby who lives in Mechanicsville with his wife Sheri and two step daughters, Taylor and MacKenzie, and their son, Gunnar. My step daughter, Laila lives in Texas with her husband Brett and daughter Korin; and our daughter, Jenna lives in New Kent with her wonderful boyfriend. She has a daughter named Mikalah.

tle speed boat. We enjoy the beach, traveling to see his family in Sweden, playing with the grandchildren, then sending them home. Both my parents have passed away and are buried in Charlottesville. My older sister Sandra, lives in Richmond not far from me; my twin sister Jean lives on the out skirts of Charlottesville, another sister Carolyn lives in Newport News and my brother Buddy passed away in 2013, his wife lives in Lake Monticello, their 3 children are scattered in Florida and Georgia.
I attended classes at J. Sargeant Reynolds CC and VCU in Richmond. I'd like to say hello to all my old friends and school mates at Lane H.S. It's been a long time.
