Joan's Story
I can't believe it's been 43 years since my junior year at Portsmouth HS! My sister, Kathy, and I moved to Portsmouth as military brats in the summer of 1969 from California and met a few kids before school started. We were invited to go "snipe' hunting but not wanting to appear dumb, because we didn't know what that was, we declined, luckily.

nded Northern Virginia Community College until I met my husband, a 1967 graduate of Mt. Vernon HS, on a blind date. We were married eight months later in 1974, went to West Virginia University and moved to central Florida in 1978. We have a son, two married daughters and triplet granddaughters, born in 2008. Life has busy the last five years with our daughter and her family living with us. They just moved out in June, 2013 so it back to the two of us. We love to travel, play golf and enjoy our families. I foresee retirement for my husband, Bill in a couple of years.
