Joan's Story
Life
Just remarried almost 4yrs. ago. I have a married son who has a daughter. My daughter just relocated 32 miles from us. She is such a blessing to all, loving and beautiful. One daughter died as an infant. I lived on the Outer Banks for 7 yrs. and was a big part of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse when I lived in Rodanthe those seven years and was there to witness and work when it was being moved to its present location. Did a lot of windsurfing and ocean kayaking on the Outer Banks, and snow boarding in Va. Md. Pa. Done some hot air balloning in N.M. Traveled all over North, Central, South America and just about all the islands in the Caribbean. Learned a little Russian did a lot of decorating. I have two beautiful loving step daughters. My husband and I are into painting, camping...Expand for more
, kayaking, hiking. He plays music in church and bands. I was in the process of doing a cd demo in Lychburg Va. when we met. He and others tease me about my big motorcycle. Before we met I had gone through some real hardships. Without my daughter and others who knew what happen, my dog and most of all my Savoir I overcame a lot. I feel this has made me a much better person and to define what is really important in life. I love life and live it to the fullest. There are still many things I would love to do. My husband shows me so much love and sometimes gets over concern with me. It is awesome to have a daughter and husband who loves and cares for me so very much. I am getting use to it.
To live in the past is useless unless you learn from it, the present is exactly that; a gift.
