Joan's Story
Life
This was taken on the Gulf of Mexico, near St. Pete, Fla; when our youngest son, Jon, age 39 now, lived. Now Jon lives on the eastern shore of Md near the Chesapeake Bay, and still has this 24 ' Chapparel speed boat. Our 3 adult children all live just off Hwy 50, youngest in Maryland, oldest son Norm Jr Columbus Indiana, daughter Sharon in Gerald Missouri. Our 5 grandchildren are 15-21yrs of age, 3 in college, one in the Coast Guard.= We keep busy with visiting all of them now, live on Fremont Lake home of Gerber Baby Food, somewhat active in church, active in the political process; and I'm still recovering from a bad car accident Aug '04. Would love to be at the Reunion on Sat sometime, also have our Valpo's Homecoming then too.= It's nice to hear from you that I have memories of, but there have been many places we lived, friends made, to try to keep fresh in the memories. to find the Lens, stored away upstairs soon. Just returned from Tucson Az for a 48yr old nephew's memorial service; but nice to be with my family. We rented a condo with my sister Jean, from Maine too and her husband, Bob; we talked a lot still and really enjoy being together. Jean lives in Redwood City Ca. If we don't make the actual reunion will be looking forward to the memory book. We attended my husband's 50th 2 yrs ago at Seldfridge Air Force Base, was fun but I was in a wheelchair from foot surgeries, only knew one couple there; but still fun.= As the ad on TV goes, Life comes at you fast, enjoy each minute and stay in touch; even tho miles are apart, as well as years. Enjoy the Reunion, still have 3 of the metal stars hanging from the light over the kitchen table from the Sr Prom, the 57th Heaven, so think of lots of you and our days at that wonderful High School in Illinois, Joan
