Joan's Story
My friends describe me as supportive and emotionally
available. I am a good listener and a hand holder in
times of crisis.
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the living room and add on a office. My dream home would be a condo.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10 percent of it to God, support my
favorite charity,and share with family
and friends.
My first job was at a Jazz radio station, where I got paid a modest salary to entertain listeners all night. What I remember most about it is I was so excited and frightened..

tea cakes and coffee. I would drink coffee with her and pretend it was high tea with royalty. To this day, I love the smell of fresh made coffee and nutmeg. When I smell tea cakes and coffee, I feel secure, loved, and protected.
I like classic style. It's the kind of style that last a life time. Pearls, red lipstick, and up swept hair for the evening. I don't enjoy flavor of the month styling. Cutting edge style is for my other sisters.
I lived in a dorm when I attended college. It was a great experience because it gave me a chance to learn life skills such as writing checks, paying bills, and making independent decisions. We ate potatoes three times a day in the cafeteria. It was fun seeing friends who did not take the same classes. It was like having a family away from home.
