Joan's Story
Life
When we moved to the farm from busy Avon, Indiana, we brought our "old dog", Jake, with us. He'd always been a city dog, so you can imagine the delight of a Sheltie to be able to finally roam the perimeter of our yard area. He found all sorts of interesting things, like chickens and birds, ducks, and worst of all, coyotes. Poor Jake met his demise after a coyote took a chunk out of his rear. write, and was recently published in Cup of Comfort for Sisters, Guidepost, several gardening magazines, etc. I, also, do some editing with two friends. I have no problem with keeping busy since I'm researching our family and compiling my findings on Family Tree.
Workplace
I worked a lot of places coming up through the ranks. Patty Jo Kelly and I started out by working at Stokely's right out of school. The profession I have enjoyed the most is my writing...the other jobs were just for the love of money.
