Joan's Story
I met my husband while we were both flying trapeze. I bet nobody else can say that! Our trapeze group, a very rag-tag group, puts on a show at the end of the summer. I don't fly anymore (although I keep threatening to start again - ha), but I give moral support and am the unofficial videographer.
I was a traveling nurse from '89 - '92, & eventually settled down in Denver to be with Vince, whom I married in '93 (the same day as Northeast High School's 10 year reunion, & yes we showed up in our wedding garb!). We had our first son in '95, I became a nur...Expand for more
se practitioner in '96, and had our second son in '97 - a busy few years to say the least!
We try to enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Colorado. We ski at Loveland and my boys are officially better than their old mom this year. The warmer months are spent flying trapeze (it's an outdoor rig), biking, hiking, car camping (I'm a wimp & won't backpack), day or weekend trips to the mountains, working around the house and the usual daily grind.
Our youngest son just started TaeKwonDo - who knows, maybe I'll start that back up again (it's only been 25 years!).
