Joann's Story
Catch 'em up on what you've done and who you are.
For those of you who used to go to Woodstock Youth Center Dances...I married David Connell, guitar player( he graduated from Jackson High School) for the Vikings in June 1968. The Vikings played there quite often as you all remember in their baby blue suede jackets with a Viking head emblem on the right chest with their names....white shirts and black ties. Back in the day when a band looked nice and neat !! (ha) If you remember all of this, you also remember MY MOTHER who also worked there as a Chaperone with Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Bell, and Mrs. White. Those were her friends and she made me go alot of times when I didn't even want to go. She was a hoot for sure and I miss her t...Expand for more
erribly. She's now been gone for 25 years. Anyways...I worked off and on until my children came along. Once they were born I stayed home to be a housewife and raise my kids, while David worked for CSX Railroad for 39 years. The past 25 years in Management, Mechanical Operations, Locomotive Control. We have 3 children, now 33, 24, & 25 and 1 grandson who will be 10 in November.
David passed away from cancer August 2006....we were married 38 and a half years.
