Joann's Story
I retired from my job with Verizon in 2009, after 37 years. I have 2 children..Bobby is 34, married & has beautiful 6 year old twin girls. My daughter,Kasey, is 29. She lives with me and is an aspiring actress She also works as a standardized patient at a medical school..I have 4 cats who think I am their mother and a Siberian Husky, Karma, who thinks the cats are wrong and I am HER mom.. I am happily divorced.
Now that I am retired, I am picking up things that I put aside to work & survive. Writing,gardening,breathing.....things I could ha...Expand for more

December 2013 update: I have gone back to work atVerizon as a contractor . My contract is for 2 years . My cats are mad at me, my dog is mad at me, my granddaughters are unhappy I went back ....my garden needs weeding, my stories need writing...but now I have extra income that will help buy toys for my granddaughters,seeds for my garden,paper to write on. Lol
May 5th, 2016. Frontier bought Verizon, My contract is extended and I am still not retired. They say 75 is the new 65. Maybe I will retire then. lol
