JoAnn's Story
I'm JoAnn Lindell-Overton. In school, I was known as JoAnn, Jo and Little Bit. I played softball, shook pom poms, drove a bus, participated in student government, etc. I graduated from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and moved to Virginia Beach. I have one daughter, Casey, who had an amazing career in USA Gymnastics. She went on to graduate from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) as a three time NCAA Scholastic All American Student Athlete and an All American on the balance beam.

rs in the classroom - high school science (Physical Science, Biology, Marine Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and AP Biology) and moved out of the classroom to supervise grade 6 through 12 science for my district. I am responsible for the science programs for 10 middle schools, 7 high schools and two education centers. I come back to Fayetteville to visit my mom when I can - it is difficult for me to find time other than the major holidays since I am a 12 month employee. When I visit Fayetteville IâÂÂd love to get together with any of the gang in town and catch up on how everyone is doing.
