Joann's Story
Life
Life is great. I have 2 wonderful kids, Bobby, 32 and Diane, 33, a beautiful Granddaughter, Lenora, who is 3-1/2 and a Grandson, Dalton who is 9 months old.. I'm still a hippy at heart! Love to laugh, and I am surrounded and blessed with wonderful family, friends and co-workers.
Workplace
In high school I worked at the GEM store (remember that store on Chillum Road across from Bowling Alley).
Later I started working downtown for the National Association of Securities Dealers. Hated it! Hated being at a desk!
I left after 6 months and became one of the first Good Humor women in MD/VA/DC area. From Quantico to Rockville Pike I sold ice cream.

or Mack Trucks and then went to work in accounting for Opportunity Concrete in D.C.
In 1985 I started working in the Government Affairs office of Kraft Foods in D.C. In 1989 Philip Morris bought Kraft and merged Kraft, General Foods, Miller Brewing and Philip Morris into one Government Affairs office.
I am still with the company and now work for the the head of State Government Affairs for the service provider arm of the company, Altria Client Services Inc.
