Joanna's Story

I've never been to a reunion--was hoping to go this year, but my oldest son is getting married on the day of the reunion! Can't believe it's been 50 years---how did we get here? I was one of the quiet ones--wasn't involved in many activities. I was in Golden Singers --I remember I sat next to Stan. Think Jim Sloan told me that Stan has passed away. My best friends in high school were Ann (Beck) Sloan who was a year behind us, Jerri (Shipman) Erdmann who lives in Arizona and posts on facebook so I know a little bit about what's going on in her life, and Judy (Johnson) Duso who was one of my suite mates at IU from which we both graduated with our BS in nursing. I have seven children--3 girls who all live i...Expand for more
n Indiana and 4 boys who are spread across the county. Nine grandchildren that I'm able to travel to see from time to time. Was married for 20 years, moved all over the country, fianlly finding our long term home in Terre Haute where my then husband taught at Rose Hulman. I have been divorced for 20 years. I retired from nursing just last year and am immensely enjoying being away from that stress. I keep myself busy with yard work, reading, being "mom" to two poodle/bichons, and traveling whenever I can. Still trying to figure out how I got to be this old, but I am healthy and happy and have a wonderful family. I'm looking forward to seeing updates from all of you!----------------------Sincerely, Joanna
