Joanne's Story
Fifty years ago, we were all teens enjoying the end of our high school years in Norwalk. Now, at 67 (OMG) years old, we are enjoying our retirements and spread all over this great country. I've collected so many wonderful memories over the pass 50 years. I have been married to Larry for 42 years and have three fabulous children: Bob, Bill, and Dawn who have given us six fabulous grandchildren. While raiising the kids and growing up myself, I enjoyed many activities, such as, managing a girls' softball team for nine years, coaching girls' soccer for three, golfing, yes, even bowling and years and traveling. ably twenty years later...but I achieved my goals and completed a BA in English, BA in Social Science, and a Master Degree in Administration. I taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts in Ontario Montclair School District for 15 years, and until my retirement, I was teaching 9th and 10th grade English at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucumonga, California. In the last eight months, we've moved to the beautiful "Green Country" of Oklahoma (definitely not Steinbeck's Oklahoma) on Lake Tenkiller where we are still as active as ever enjoying golfing, boating on the lake, fishing, kayaking, and traveling to new places.
