Johanna's Story
My former name was Joanne Horvath but when I moved to San Diego area 26 years ago after a divorce, and had my own TV show Women in Motion, I legally changed my name. Carroll was my middle name, my grandmother's name. Life has been exceptional in this part of the world mainly because I started a spiritual quest that has opened many doors to studying and now teaching advanced metaphysics. It's been a long journey with some major rocks in the road but life now at age 64 has become less complicated! I have an international business as a spiritual counselor, have authored 4 books, been on 3 international TV specials on spirituality, had two radio shows, traveled the world facilitating workshops at sacred sites in Italy, France, Cost Rica and Malta and for many years had a home in Sedona, Arizona. I am still divorced and have two amazing sons aged 41 and 38. No grandchildren but still hoping! The main thing I have learned is to never give up, believe in you...Expand for more
rself and be ok in taking risks. I still talk to Nancy Keating (Cianculli) my best friend from St. Marys for almost 50 years! We talk at least twice a week and she still lives in Wallingford. As I have not seen her in over 15 years, I plan on coming 'home' to Connecticut for Thanksgiving as Nancy refuses to fly so it will be fun to see my best friend who I met all those years ago at St. Marys. I understand the school no longer exists, but real friendships do. I hope everyone who went to St. Marys' is living an exceptional life and happy. My most vivid memory of the nuns was when our teased hair got dunked in the toilets and our penny loafers were taken away......now it would be considered abuse, then we were scared little girls. What a memory! Much love to all........

I always wanted to be a actress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a interesting idea. As it turns out, they were right!.
