Joanne Kayser-McLaughlin I have become a very easy going person. I have learned to appreciate life to the fullest. It can be taken away in a heartbeat. Having a great guy in your life makes a big difference. I have been happily married for 30 yrs. We have two great kids and 2 grandchildren. I left Woodhaven kicking and screaming to move out to Long Island, best move I ever made. My husband and I try to travel whenever we can. We are both retired and it is wonderful. Of course like everyone else life has had its ups and downs, but it only makes you stronger. I just hope anyone I knew when I was younger has had the same fortune that I have had.I would love to hear from friends from St. Elizabeth's and St. Michaels H.S.

had a wonderful future ahead of him. However, on October 5th, 2019 tragedy struck my husband & myself. Our only Son Brian was killed in a car accident. It has changed our life forever. I can't tell you the pain I feel. There are no words. I lost a lot in 2019, my sister in February, my Mom just a few weeks later in April & then 6 months later our beloved Son. I thought losing my Mom was bad, but nothing compares to losing your child.. We will never have any closure since we don't know what happened or why it happened. They do know there was another car involved & they think he was run off the road. So to go back to my original post where I said appreciate life, I was referring to 9/11, now it refers to me. Never take anything for granted, it can be taken away in a split second. I just wanted to explain my profile picture,
