Joanne's Story
Life
Hi Peeps, I am a totally different person then when I went to school. I was one of the dumbest people I knew then, (gullible and clear headed). I had lots of fun back then and was pretty crazy. Drugs, Sex and Rock and Roll, similiar to Tune In, Turn On and Drop Out...get my gist? Anyway, I still live in New York City. I worked in my capacities over the years, from seamstress to dog walker, coder, salesperson, waitress, etc. I finally settled on Hairstyling (like my mom) when I was about 30. Studio 54, dancing, Disco, etc. Did very well, made the New York Times (even had a picture in there). My mom asked why they didn't do a one page write-up. as to go to college when I was 42 years old and graduate with a BS in psychology, it took ten years at night. Then I went on to get my LCSW from Fordham University after 2.5 years. I have been doing social work and Geriatric Care Management for the last 10 years and love it. I made more money doing hair but I am doing service and feel great about helping the older folks.
I have been Sober for the last 26 years and that has completely changed my life and broadened my view. I would love to hear from you and you would be surprised about who I remember.
I still speak to Meryl Gorenberg.
Deena Silver (who was one of my closest missed friend passed away in 1998 and I am still sad about that).
My phone number in Manhattan is listed in Chelsea on 8th Avenue and I would love to hear from you.
Does anyone remember the Altiers?
