Joanne's Story
Hi All ... I wish I could e there, but cannot make it. I would love to see everyone.
I am still living in West Hartford CT with my wife (of 22 years), Beth, my two sons, Carlos and Fernando (14 1/2 year old twins), our dog, Choco, and our kitty, Tom.
I retired from The Hartford Insurance Company 2 ½ years ago (after 33 years) and returned to school to get a Masters in Elementary Education. I am now an elementary school teacher and love it!
We have been pretty involved in Human Rights issues throughout the years and had the honor of being the lead plaintiffs in the Marriage Case against Connecticut. We won our case and continue to stay involved in s...Expand for more
ocial justice and politics. Beth is on the Town Council in West Hartford and very involved in the effort to get Hillary elected this year.
My sons are awesome little men, they are good students who are entering high school this fall. Carlos is a football dude and Fernando is a great baseball pitcher. We try to travel when we can afford it, but spend most of our summer time at our beach house in RI.
My sister, Carol, is a retired school teacher and still lives in Niles and by brother and his wife, James and Shirl, split their time between St. Petersburg, Florida and Vienna, Ohio. Their daughter, Siri, lives in Traverse City, MI with her husband, Jeff.
