Joanne's Story
Life
Never married.
Moved around a lot, mostly in state, but some out-of-state also.
Have taken trips to England, Netherlands, France, Australia, Japan and Korea. Planning future trips to Europe after visiting friends in Australia in 2008.
USAF - 1961-1965 - Administrative Specalist
USAR - 1973-1994 - Administrative Sepcalist/Psyop Sergeant
Pacific Bell - 1968-1995 - Administrative Assistant
Costume Designer for Alliance for Performing Arts in Pomona, CA - 1997-Present. (Semi-Retired from that also)
Still an avid reader-eclectic interests (Still love Science Fiction). Semi-active in several historical re-creation groups.
Favorite quote: Nothing is impossible --- maybe just highly improbable.
Military
July 1961: Joined Ai...Expand for more
r Force a few days after Lori Kutch's marriage to Larry Vandermoon. I delayed entry to be her bridesmaid. Went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX, for basic, the up to Amarillo AFB, TX, for Administrative Specalist training. From there, February 1962, was stationed to Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA for about 2 1/2 years. While there also did additional duty on Disaster Control Team-became a team leader. Spent last 8 months of tour at the Pentagon.
December 1973: Joined the Army Reserves while living in San Diego. Was assigned to a transportation company that met at Camp Pendelton. Moved to San Francisco in 1976. Transferred to 306 PSYOP at the Presidio. Moved to LA in 1980. Transferred to PSYOP unit at Los Alamitos until retired from service in 1994.
