Workplace
After returning from overseas in the Middle East, my dream job was to be able to continue working in the Communications Field doing what I do in the Navy, and that dream was answered, I was offered a position at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and that is where I will be at upon retiring from the Navy after 27 years.
Military
I joined the Navy in 1980 after graduation. My first plan was to do only 4 years, but when my 4 years was up, I decided to re-enlist due the Navy had so much to offer. My next plan was to retire after 20 yea...Expand for more
rs, but after the 9/11 attacks on our country, I decided to hold off on retiring and do what I thought was necessary, not only as an American, but as a Sailor serving in the U.S. Navy, I chose to stay in the Military and deploy with my unit to the Middle East where I served 3 deployments there. I came home after 3 years in the Middle East in Oct 2006 and now I am ready and will be retiring in Dec 2007 after 27 years. I can truly say that I have served my country Honorably, and I am very proud of myself for that and all that I have accomplished.
