Joao's Story

School Went to Wilson Ave. (grammar school),then started East Side High School in the fall of '86.I was in the school's marching band(in the drum line)all four years.Went out with a few girls from school,I was in a club called "Young Lust",some of the guys were still in school others had already graduated,I went by the name of "Brother Love" (don't ask it's a long story).Wasn't into school that much I guess I had other interests.W'ell four years went by and I did get to go to my Senior prom before I graduated,so that was cool.I was into Heavy Metal alot(Guns N Roses was my favorite). Then finally June came and time to say goodbye was near so I graduated and never looked back, for the most difficult part of life was coming up.Out of high school, young, naive, and without a clue I began my mission on what was I supposed to do next. So,I just let nature take it's course and thought "WOW" I thought high school was bad and that was only four years. Now I have to worry about what I'm going to do for the beggining of the "REAL WORLD".There aren't any grades,no SAT's,no fire drills.Just you and the knowledge you have to start this journey. So,here we are,in the biggining of the rest of our lives!!! See Ya! John Workplace Curious little suckers aren't we?!(Just kidding!)I started my own business in July...Expand for more
of "93.I'ts a Catering truck a.k.a. a "lunch truck" business.I started a route in Secaucus,N.J. The name of my business is Come N' Get It,and I started out with a 1988 GMC SL Sierra, WAG custom body,(only those in the business know what that is).But anyway I've established that route selling coffee, drinks, pastries, cold lunch, hot lunch, etc.I serve good food, great service and a great knack for dealing with the public.I do put in a lot of hours(usually 15-18 hrs. daily) just ask my friends they hardly see me!But when all is said and done, at the end it's a satisfying goal.I have to tell you that even though theres good and bad in whatever you do somehow it's all worth it,personally I think so.I decided two years ago to invest some money into my business by updating my truck to something a little more modern and with many more options. So I bought a brand new Ford F-350 powerstroke diesel heavy duty, with a "Custom" Concord 740 stainless steal body with dual wheels, steam table and plenty more. I'm proud of what I do and I do it well,so if your ever in Secaucus, N.J.(near the corner of Secaucus Road & Enterprise Ave.)stop by and say hello.I'm there every day from 5:00am to 9:00am & 11:00am to 1:00pm on weekdays and 5:00am to 9:00am on Saturdays(no Sundays). So I guess I'll see you all later!!
