Jocelyn's Story
Life
Summer 2008: I married my high school sweetheart, John in May of 2000. We live in Davis, CA with our son Andrew, who was born in June of 2003, our son Ryan, born December of 2007, and our two cats, Nibbles and Misty. Right now we're still renting, but we've upgraded from a 2-bedroom condo to a 4-bedroom single-family home. We're hoping to be able to buy a house (specifically, the one we're currently living in) in a few years.
In May 2005 I finally got around to going to college. I attended AIU Online's degree program in accounting, and graduated with my Bachelor's February of 2007. Yes, somehow, I went from planning to be a preschool teacher to working in accounting. Go figure!

en with since spring of 2001 to start my own bookkeeping company. Counting my old boss, I now have 4 clients, and am doing pretty well. I'm in the process of passing my bookkeeping certification exams (3 down, 3 to go!), so that I can raise my rates. ~_^ I'd also like to have 1-2 more clients to really feel comfortable with both my workload and my income.
John earned his 1st degree black belt in Hawaiian kenpo in May 2004, and his 2nd degree belt May of 2007. He is also one of the instructors for the beginning kids' class, and one of the first two people promoted to the designation of senior instructor, which is quite and honor. Andrew started in the Little Tigers program at the school in August of 2008. I hope to get back into my training soon, as soon as our finances are a little more stable.
