Jodi's Story
Life
Whats going on with me, you ask? Well, after graduation, I passed my cosmetology state board.(Thank you Mrs.Harrill for being so stern!!!) Worked in a few salons, one of which I met my husband, Sean. Got married and moved to Canton in 1989. We bought our first home in Plain Township (NE Canton) in 1995. I worked in the hair industry for a while, but I found that motherhood was exactly what I was looking for in a career. My boys (Max 16, Cameron 13, and Tristan 8) are the sunshine of my life.
My husband Sean, is an Executive Recuiter for a search firm in N. Canton. His job keeps him very busy and employed. When he is not working he becomes MR. JOCK. He is a manager in his Roy Hobbs 40 and over Baseball League in Akron, manages and coaches my sons in the...Expand for more
ir Special Olympics basketball teams along with Canton Challenger Baseball ( all three of my children have traits of autism. My oldest is the most severe.)
Just dealing with every day challenges, keeps me going so being a stay home mom is the best thing I could do for my children. But no matter what, God gave them to me. I guess he felt I could handle it. Somedays are harder than others but we still get by.
I lost my parents (my support group) a few years back which was a hardship for me. Being a parent now, I see what a positive influence they were, and how they molded me into the person I am today.
Thats basically whats going on in my life. Besides keeping up with my family, I have to say, I'm pretty lucky to have such an wonderful and fulfilling life.
