Jody's Story
Life
I left Vallejo in 1982 married 12 yrs then, with 2 daughters Tracy born 1972, and Tami 1973. We lived and loved the mountains above Redding until our divorce in 1992, after 23 yrs. I was working as a dental office manager in Redding and commuted down the mountain to work. I married Michael Hastey that was the head man for the Weaverville Sanitary Dist. We had a wonderful 4.5 yrs until his death in 2000 from brain cancer. I did child care out of my home as I had retired from the dental practice. I had a booming business and it helped me over the sad times, by giving me something to hold and love. In 2003 I sold my home in Weaverville and moved to Tooele, UT to be close to Tami my youngest daughter. come by in such a small town. Jan 22nd of 2004 on my way out the door to work, I slipped on ice and broke my right femur. A really terrible break. I rented my home and had to move in with Tami. During this time I had a short story published in one of the Chicken Soup books, and met some really nice people along this journey.
I have been in touch with most of my close friends from High School, but would love to hear from others. I have 8 grandchildren to date from age 13 down.
I really miss the mountains of California, and the coast too. Hope to hear from you! Jody July '06 Moved again into my own place AT LAST! Just completed the 4th surgery on that broken leg!
