Jody's Story
Life
I've been raising two kids on my own for several years, and we have a lot of fun together. We've traveled down the Oregon coast in a rented motor home, spent the weekend in a haunted hotel, and seen some great shows together. We saw John Cleese from Monty Python's Flying Circus for my birthday last year. We saw two of the guys from MST3K in Seattle and met them afterwards. We went to see some African acrobats on Mother's Day. I've done standup comedy off and on for years, and I write all my material. It's great fun, and I love to meet people from the audience after the show.
For my day job, I'm a massage therapist. I really enjoy the work. It's a great feeling to see that I've made a difference to someone who's in pain.
On a more personal note, I'm in a relationship now with one of the African acrobats I mentioned before. He's in a troupe called Zuma Zuma. You can find some ...Expand for more
of their videos on youtube. They made it to the quarter finals on America's Got Talent, and they toured with the Harlem Globetrotters. I went to visit him for a weekend in Las Vegas, and I got to see him do three shows at Circus Circus. I have to admit that when he first told me that he wanted to be part of my life, I spent about two weeks feeling like I'd lost my mind. He eventually put me at ease, though. He sees himself as a guy from a little village in Kenya who just happens to be really good at gymnastics. On the plus side, my kids' friends see me much differently now! They were surprised when the kids told them I had a new man in my life, since I hadn't been with anyone for years. Then my kids showed their friends a video of Zuma Zuma in action. The reaction each time was "OH MY GOD!!" hahaha My daughter's best friend said, "You have the hottest boyfriend EVER!" Sweeeeeet!
