I have 3 grown children, my oldest son is in college studying space physics. My younger son manages a engine repair shop and plans to marry his long time girlfriend in the very near future. My daughter is my youngest child, she graduates in the spring of 2009 and she wants to be Jane Goodall. I'm a former non profit CEO, I've worked as a lobbyist, news correspondent and producer. I love traveling,writing, cocktail dresses, writing,reading, writing, movies, writing, music,writing, sandy beaches,writing, quite afternoons,writing, warm sunny days, writing,and fall weather.
I have a small greenhouse and an organic heirloom vegetable garden where I grow rare plants.

Once when I was working for a small local newspaper I covered a school board meeting where the athletic director presented his budget and gave a report to the school board. He complained about the decrease in funding and the increase in student participation citing his departments need to shake down shrubs around neighboring ...Expand for more
ball fields in order to have enough equipment. My story went to print with the headline reading, "Athletic Report: More Players Fewer Balls." My editor wasn't amused but I still smile about it.

If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a closet the size of Carrie Bradshaw's in Sex and the City (the movie). My dream home would be beach front.

My best friend would tell you I'm reclusive, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as out going..
I share my home with a cat, if he could talk he would lie..
My big victory was seeing a bill I put together in the state get introduced as federal legislation. My trophy was an invitation to the Washington Press Club to speak at the press conference.
My first job was at a nursing home, where I got paid 6.00 per hour to wipe butts. What I remember most about it is spilling pee down the front of my uniform..
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my ex husband, because I'd like to slap him for dying...for no good reason.
