Joe's Story
Life
After graduating from Glasgow High School in Newark, DE I got an associates degree in Criminal Justice from Delaware Tech. CC. Then I graduated from the University of Delaware [GO BLUE HENS!!!] where I majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy.
Since then I've had various jobs (Prison counselor, Mortgage consultant, Bartender [still do on the side here and there], Restaurant management). For the past 7 years I've worked as an estimator for a home renovation company. (Sales basically)
I have a beautiful wife and three daughters with one more on the way. 13 year old, 4 year old, and a 16 month old. We are living in Delaware City, DE. along the Delaware river. Tiny town. Population about1800. There's an old civil war fort where confederate soldiers were imprisoned on an island during the civil war less than a mile from town.

College
I can't believe I actually made it through college. I worked full time as a bartender to pay my way and also part time as a substitute teacher. My first daughter was just born my junior year at Delaware and between work, parenting, and studying I don't know how I did it. I remember going to the library so that I could take a nap.
I enjoyed the religion and philosophy courses and of course the partying when I could. U of D is the best Party school.
I still get to some Delaware football games each year. Although my career isn't geared towards psychology, I know that whether I like it or not, my work will always be influenced by my education.
