Where to start? After HS, went to OU for two years on academic scholarship. Ended up at end of 4th semester with bowling and gymnastics and only a 1.7 GPA. Learned how to party hard. Went on to graduate with honors and business degree from UCO as there was no place back then to party. Got my act together and decided I better start living my life as a Christ Follower instead of just talking about it. Met my bride of 26 years in the singles department of Council Road Baptist Church. Have three sons: Jeff (23) works in computer technology in LA; Jeremy (21) student at UCO and Jared (19) student at OU. After 28 years at Council Road, we left to become active members of LifeChurch.TV in Oklahoma City. After graduation, went to work for four years with SW Bell in advertising, traveling state and then left to join small family business, which went bust. Started consulting firm with friend, that thrives today, sold to him for $1800...should have hung in there. Worked a variety of jobs trying to provide for my family including sales manager for computer company that went bankrupt...after they fired me (served them right...still stings); and sold OKC Chamber of Commerce memberships to small businesses. Was drawn for years to idea of personal financial planning as I experienced pitfalls firsthand of debt within the family growing up and then as college student.
