Joe's Story
After graduation, I went to San Jose State University. After two years, I took a break and joined the Marine Corps and after active duty, I went back to SJSU and got my bachelor's degree in Biology. I continued the family business of fruit farming and grew apricots, cherries and walnuts in the San Joaquin Valley. In time, I concentrated on apricots and later formed a corporation with Ron Ruscigno (Del Mar grad of 1960) where we packed fresh and dried apricots. During that time, we became ...Expand for more
the largest shipper of fresh apricots in the country - going under the name Orchard Gold. Since we retired, Ron has passed away, but his daughter Marlo has kept up the tradition with the dried apricot gift packs. I now live on the North Coast of California with my lovely wife, Diane. We have two wonderful daughters who are doing very well on their own. I enjoy fly fishing, and inventing and building things.
I cherish my high school years more than ever. . . Best Wishes to Everyone, Joe
