Joe's Story
Life
After leaving the great halls of WSH, I attended the College of St. Thomas. My memories of college consist of studying, swimming competitively and consuming beverages late into the evenings... Upon graduating with a BA in Business and Aerospace Studies, I
joined the US Air Force and was off to the wild blue yonder... the skies of Oklahoma... When I left the USAF, I returned to the Twin Cities entered the Financial World and have spent the past 18 yrs managing investments for businesses, individuals and retirees.
Presently, I work in Golden Valley at Oak Ridge Financial and live in the fair city of Lakeville, Mn with my lovely bride Julie, son James and Rex the Wonder Dog. Volunteering in the community has been a large part of my life over the past twelve years, helping with the St Paul Winter Carnival as the Director of the Ice Carving Competitions, the Festival Director in '97 and the Chairman in '98. icipating with the Minneapolis Aquatennial as a Board of Director, the 2000 Captain and the 2002 Commodore of the Aquatennial. Volunteering has helped me grow personally and professional, I recommend it to everyone.
In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding and canoeing in the BWCA. I still stay in close contact with three of our classmates; Mr. Eric Steege, Mr. Frank Eichstaedt and Mr. Jeff Notch. Each are enjoying life and are doing extremely well! Eric runs his own computer consulting company in town (but spends much of his time flying across the country and around the world), Frank is a Bank Executive and Division Head in Chicago (I continue to try to get him to move back to the Cities, but he seems to like Chicago?) and Jeff is a Computer Wiz in the Twin Cities (He lives in Eagan with his beautiful wife and 2 children).
