Joe's Story
Hey y'all. Let's get you caught up on me. After high school, I attended UT for 3 semesters. I then decided on a career in law enforcement. I transferred to Sam Houston and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Corrections. I worked at the prison during school. After graduation, I was hired by the Beaumont Police Department. nty Sheriff. I took office on January 1, 2005. I was recently elected to my 2nd term as Sheriff.
I married Carrie Warren in 1993. She grew up in east Houston and is a banker. We have 2 daughters; Devinn, who is 17 and Mattie, who is 13. They attend East Chambers. We built a house on 14 acres west of Winnie. We have 2 horses and a part-time dog.
