Joe's Story
My life? mmmmm lets see... After school I spent three years in the Army in Germany. They trained me how to shoot down aircraft using heat seeking missiles. Europe was quite an experience right out of school. After my time in the Army I worked a job in the construction industry and in a few years become a foreman for the company. I worked for that same company for 17 years. The last four years at this job I started flying small helicopters as a hobby until the day finally came that I could make this my next occupation. ckily the pay became better with more experience, otherwise I don't think any one would make it threw the first years. I went from Florida, to Texas, to South Carolina, and eventually back to Florida with my first few flying jobs. What ever it took to log flight time. ( I was single then and I don't know how you could start out as a pilot with a family on what it pays in the beginning).
Since 1999 I have worked as a television news helicopter pilot for several stations around the country and I have been loving every minute of it.
I have a loving wife, and a very active son who turns four years old in August of 2015.. ;---)
