If all of our feelings were in lock boxes and as our friendship grew we would slowly unlock another box. As time went on we would then open or keep locked those boxes where our feelings were hurt or ignored. The value of the friendship would be the amount of boxes that remain open. Safe, protected and cherished. How close would a friend have to be when you look around and notice that all your boxes are wide open?
