Joe's Story
After high school I wasted some of my parents money trying out college. After the first grading period Uncle Sam got a copy of my grades." Not good for Joe". Then came the draft notice. To avoid the rice patties I joined the Navy for four years, spending my entire enlistment aboard the USS Little Rock (CLG-4) ported in Gaeta, Italy. er in 1991 and have not remarried. After being discharged from the Navy, I tested for the Little Rock Fire Dept. In December of 1973 I became a firefighter. After serving 32 years and attaining the rank of Captain I retired. It was the greatest job in the world. After retirement I sold my home in Sherwood, Ar. and built a house in the country near Searcy, Ar. That's kinda how my life has gone since high school minus lots and lots of more stuff.
