Joe's Story
Moved to Las Vegas six weeks before graduation. Registered for the Draft and burned .my card about every two weeks. I was a Big War, Civil Rights, and Womans Rights activist/protester. It was the 60's. The big draft lottery of 1970 was televised and my number was 113. I thought that I was safe, but in the first month they were up to 95. So I moved around alot to try and avoid them, but it was taking less time for the guys in the Cheap Suits (FBI) to track me down. They checked my Dads house a lot for me. I moved back to Las Vegas and got out of Construction and went to work for my cousin in sales, Bell Bottom Jean's at Uncle Sam's Clothing. Land Far Far Away and did some stuff they will never admit to and came back to the States again. Back in those days we were treated like crap, spit on and called all sorts of mean and nasty names, and Some of my So Called friends even called me baby killer! I would lived through it all. Got out. Went back to Las Vegas and lived there ever since 1973. It's been a Great life for me. I've been in some form of construction all my life. From Carpenter, Framer, Draftsman, Contractor, Builder, Commerical Building Inspector, Structural Inspector, Combo Housing Inspector, to being retired and doing what I want to when ever I want to. I'm back in the Entertainment Business and like they said "There's no Business like Show Business!"
