Joe's Story

Joseph Tidwell has held various positions of leadership in military, government, and industry. His positions have been in aerospace, safety engineering, management and education involving organizations and assignments worldwide. Joint Alliance of Companies Managing Education for Technology (JACMET) – 1990 - 2009 Chairperson of the Technical Advisory Council, and Executive Director Conducted bench mark studies of the major industries in Arizona and developed certificate programs for individuals in companies to use in achieving growth in business, production, and engineering skills. These certificates have been approved and adopted by major companies and the universities statewide. Designed, produced, implemented and administered national, and international leadership development programs that are recognized in national and international publications and organizations. The Boeing Company, 1985 – 2006 Represented The Boeing Company in university and educational society relations with the American Society Engineering Education, and College industry Education Consortiums. Conducted organizational surveys and needs assessments with the management teams to produce the education and training strategies for the development of the personnel in each member organization and specialty. Leader of the development and improvement of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) K – 12 programs and teacher development, instruction of engineering, engineering technology, and bio-medical science in middle school and high school programs, and the reform for graduate engineering education focused on the industry workforce educational needs.
