Joe's Story
Hi
I had a successful career with an international company who moved me around a lot. I am now retired and I have plans and dreams yet to fill. I look forward to speaking with past friends and would love pictures of the past events and times at Beacon High. Very interested in any photos of the CYO dances on Main Street in Beacon in the 60's. Also interested in anyone from my Beacon High School years. 1963 to 1967.
I welcome all friends to write and say hello. my moto is "Tiens ta foy!" . I am a blood born DuBois and Stiglianese from New Paltz and Poughkeepsie. I was adopted graciously through Catholic Charities by the Trochan family in 1953 and brought to Beacon New York. I thank my lucky stars the Trochan's gave me a better chance at life by adopting me and introducing me to the fabulous people of Beacon. I loved Beacon and now live in the area that looks just like the Hudson Valley. Here as in Beacon, people are very proud of community and stick together.

nted to be part of. I have lived in 4 countries since leaving Beacon in 1967. I have visited and worked for short periods in about a dozen others, and strongly encourage Beacon High Graduates to get a passport and learn first hand about the rest of the world. Find out what the other guy is doing and thinking you can find out for yourself first hand.
My passion now as a volunteer, part of an international group founded in the town I live in. We are helping communities all over the world, develop self sustaining strategies, through farming, horticulture, sustainable crafts, and engaging in their community locally. We grow local, preserve local and buy local. Keep it local, you will always be glad you did!
If you are interested in hearing more, you can read all about it, in fact you can become part of it; just google, "Incredible Edible Todmorden" and read my blogs to find out how this recession busting plan can help your community.
Rejuvenate, Refresh and Revitalize.
Keep the faith and please get in touch.
Kind regards and love to you all, and remember to "Keep it local!"
