Joe's Story
A year after graduating from Stevens High School in 1979, I packed up and drove to Minneapolis where I attended North Central University for one year. I met my wife there through one of my roommates, and we tied the knot on March 13, 1982. Our daughter Melissa was born in 1984 and son Daniel in 1988. I worked in the college mailroom for 2 years after attending, and have worked at 4 printing companies, 2 courier companies and 1 battery company since then. I'm presently employed at a printing place working in shipping/receiving, and am also the back-up driver. Melissa graduated from college in 2007 and is an elementary school teacher currently teaching in Saipan (close to Guam). This is her 2nd year of a 2 year contract there, so we're not sure where she'll be after that. Daniel is a sophomore at a loc...Expand for more
al college here in the Twin Cities, and is currently pursuing a youth ministry degree. My better half Marge is a daycare provider out of our home where we've lived since 1985 (almost paid off!). We're both active in our church, her in charge of the nursery and me playing the congas for worship services and softball in spring/summer. I lost my dad from complacations from cancer surgery 6 years ago, and mom is still living in Rapid, now in a condo. We try to get out there at least once a year for a visit, but Marge has a back injury from a car accident in 2003 and can't make the trip by car. I have one brother in Rapid and another in Fort Collins, Colorado where it's my dream of one day relocating to. I know I wasn't popular or well known in high school, but feel free to leave a greeting if you care to.
