Joe's Story
Life
After Hempfield, went to E-town College for Business Administration. Did a couple years of Church of the Brethren volunteer work in the Mississippi Delta trying to impove housing conditions and work at poverty issues. Moved onto Indianola, Mississippi and was a Deputy Director for a nonprofit housing program doing apartments and self-help subdivisions for a couple years. eveloping apartments and helping families become first-time homebuyers. The work is rewarding. Have done about 45 apartment complexes and just reached our 6,000th homeowner. We now have a staff of 23.
Have two teenage boys--soccer Gods (Matt is 20 and Daniel is 17). Unfortunately, after 24 years of marriage, I am recently divorced.
Have an old classic car (1964 Corvair convertible). Enjoy model trains, slot car racing, ping pong, and some golf. Involved in local church in a number of ways.
Always have appreciated a great education at Hempfield and Elizabethtown.
