Joe's Story
Went to college, but not for me. Joined the Navy and spent one year at Guantanamo Bay (Not behind wire, but in VC10. Next spent the balance of my naval career in Helo Combat Squadron 4. I saw Greenland and Scotland, Barets Sea and Denmark, South China Sea and Vietnam, but at a distance. I was an electronic tech and search and rescue specialist. es (history and accounting). Got married again and have been for almost 40 years. Have two daughters - both RNs and three grandsons (Popa's best buddies). My wife and I live in east Texas near Longview. I worked as an account and comptroller for twenty years, but was struck by lightning (according to my wife) and quit a comfortable job and now have been teaching for 14 years. I am where God intends me to be.
