Life Been in Colorado ten years now, hiking every weekend, love life in the mountains and very happy with the way life is going these days. Working as an evil bureaucrat for Denver government, playing cello for the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra. I do miss my friends from home, but have a great circle of friends here. I still write from time to time, do some painting as well. Living quietly with two kitty-cats (Captain Kirk {half Mine Coon, half wildcat}, and Hermann Panzerkitti), practicing my fingers off and staying active. I moved to Colorado for the mountains, and go hiking every weekend. I've climbed some of the big bruisers, having summited ten 14,000+ ft peaks since moving to Colorado from Houston in 1999. I've even climbed the second-highest peak in the continental US. I love the dry climate, the view of mountains every day, and the wide open freedom of The High Country. Nothing can compare to the feeling of standing on the summit of a 14,610ft peak after a seven-mile approach... I do miss home, but haven't been back to Beaumont or SW Louisiana in about ten years, certainly miss the food and some of the people as well.
