Joey's Story
Life
Life has been good to me. I enlisted in the Air Force in Nov 74 and married my wonderful wife Linda in Dec 75. Linda and I have two boys, three grand daughters and two grandsons . After a near fatal heart attack in Feb 03 the Air Force medically retired me with 29 years in Dec 03 in the grade of E-9 Chief Master Sergeant. I was going for 30 years but fate changed all that. Lucky for me Linda took early retirement from federal civil service the month prior so she was able to care for me. With cardiac rehab and a daily hand full of medicine (nitro in my pocket / defibrillator,pacemaker implant) I have achieved a satisfactory level of function. our lives and only do fun stuff. We stay busy with activities in our church (St Rose of Lima), the local (Milton FL) American Legion Post and the Disabled American Veterans Post. Our favorite thing to do is ride our motorcycles. We are members of the Pensacola Harley Owners Group and really enjoy participating in all the rides and other stuff they have going. We enjoy the rallies at Myrtle Beach and Daytona and hope we will be able to continue attending for some years to come. We recently purchased a motorhome and have added camping to our things to do. We truly live every day as if it were the last. I have been blessed beyond belief and if it all ended tomorrow I would have no regrets.
