John's Story
Life
*I live in Chico,CA currently, but have lived in Sacramento, Portland,OR, Walnut Creek, San Jose and Chapel Hill,NC(mid-life crisis), but a good one.
*I have been married since 1984 to my wonderful wife Carrie of now 25 years and I have two sons, Garrett and Drew. My wife is the Human Resource Director for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, Garrett is a student at Southern Oregon University in Ashland and Drew is a studentat Butte College. I am co-owner of North Rim Adventure Sports, a bicycle & multi-sports store in downtown Chico.
*We love to travel and have seen most of the US,with trips to Nova Scotia, France and Italy, plus many trips to Hawaii. We enjoy going to the SF Giant's and take in a few ...Expand for more
games a year with my wife or youngest son. We also travel to Ashland to visit our son and take in a play at the Shakespeare festival theaters when ever possible.
*I still enjoy riding my bicycle, which also promotes my business. I have been to watch the Ironman,HI, Tour de France, and the Tour of Italy, also riding may of the roads that were raced.
*Life has been good to me and I still enjoy going to work everyday.
College
I took the four year plan to complete DVC, then I went off to CSU-Sacramento and graduated in 1977 with a BS-Business Administration. I feel like I have completed an MBA program with all of experiences in the workplace that I have had, but never went back for the actual degree.
