John's Story
Wow it's great to see so many familiar names. I was thumbing through an old yearbook and putting the names and faces together.
After Carlisle I went to college in PA and became an elementary school teacher. Liked the kids, but the administrators were too, well, administrative for me and I moved over to sales. Went back to college at 40 for a business degree, helped a few companies go from "not much" to "doing pretty good" and in 1989 started a consulting business I still run today. Fu...Expand for more
nny thing is I do Leadership Training of executives and managers. H-m-m. Wonder where that idea came from? I was married in the 70's, divorced in the 80's and get to play with my one grandkid knowing there are two more on the way.
It's frightening, but I can still remember the Risherism's from the Sunday mess hall. "I couldn't stand on a street corner and give 50 cent pieces away for 25 cents each if people didn't trust me first," said the Colonel. Maybe Stephen Covey was a grad too!
