John's Story

Life Hello to all! Yes I finally joined, why? I don't know. A lark is all I can think of. Where the hell have I been? Well, pretty much all over the country. Landed in Albuquerque at the end of 94. Then moved to Rio Rancho (we call it Really Raunchy if you live here....lol)in 96. Actually it's a nice place and growing like the proverbial "weed". What's up with me? Being the speed nut I have always been, I finally turned it into a business and do performace mods for the vintage Kawasaki 2 stroke triples. I hope the EPA never finds me......lol. I live alone (yes, because no one can handle me... :-) I have 3 cats, one I saved from the animal shelter, one other came with the deal as a "surprise" (mom cat was preggers and no one knew) and the third was saved from an abusive owner. None have any talents, except they love to leave body art around the house. (fur balls) I work out of the house, which of course is always a disaster. (perpetual bachelor) My "past", I was married for 9 months in the early 80's. She made the mistake one day of saying "it's me or the motorcycles". I don't miss her......lol. I met a nice gal (at the time) in 1987 when I was in Denver. Somehow she got preggers, (:-P) and on Nov 1 1988 my son was born. I got to choose his first name which is James. (after James Gorman, I'm still pissed that he liked to party too much, but I miss him as he was a good friend) Ja...Expand for more
mes will be starting College this Semester. He wants to study music and maybe teach some day. (take that Mr Ramsey) He is a "chip off the old block" to say, so trouble is ahead!....lol. And the guy is already taller than me! for fun I road race vintage Kawasaki triples and took my class first year out. Or I used to, a few years ago I got knocked down at about 85mph (that hurt) and now have a cool plate and screws in my leg. So I just do track days now, but will be racing again soon. "I got the need, the need for speed". Not a lot else going on, other than the regular "day to day" stuff. I did turn 50 in Feb. (bet a lot of you didn't think I would make it....lol) And I promised myself if I still had hair, I would grow it out to the same length I had it in High school. And it's almost there! That's it really. If you stop by my profile, say hello. I might even remember you....lol. I guess I should "update" things a bit...... ;-) I met a very nice lady a couple of years ago, and we have been together ever since. So the eternal bachelor is gone. Lorraine is very understanding and studied martial arts, os I can't get away with anything anymore......LOL. My son has moved to Rio Rancho, and is working in a call center. Like myself, (damn) college was a bit too much for him. He is a good kid and will do well, as he is very personable. And that's about all the updates for now......
